welcomed several representatives from their overseas principals.

ITAP, Italy After a 19 year relationship, the Managing Director of ITAP, Mr Agostino
Patti, made his first visit to G.C. Baars. New
products from ITAP were introduced, including the Vienna ball valves and a new range of

SLIM, Far East Export executive Ms Junping Yuan, representing the manufacturers of SLIM
butterfly and check valves, visited G.C. Baars. Discussions held included the latest
product in the form of the pinless disc, lug-type, square drive, powder coated butterfly
valve, which is now available. Contact our

ORBINOX, Spain Product Engineer Javier Múgica Iraola was quick to
respond to Iscor Heavy Minerals problem concerning a unique application. ORBINOX have subsequently supplied and installed
an XC type knife gate valve designed specifically for use underneath hoppers or silos
where media of granular or powders are prevalent. To
date, trials continue without any loss of production to IHM.
An update of the ORBINOX product range including applications,
benefits and features was presented to G.C. Baars personnel.

BS&B, UK Messrs. Tony Felski and Michael Hunt toured the major centres of South Africa
in an effort to determine future business prospects.
During their visit, they held seminars for some of the major players in the field
of rupture discs and explosion panels. Latest
developments in rupture disc technology were transferred, ensuring market awareness. |
