The Eastern
Cape Industrial Trade Show was held in Port Elizabeth over
three days in February 2004.
The show attracted a large number of visitors, ranging
from employees of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Council to
representatives of the motor industry in Uitenhage, as well as
farmers.
Valvecraft
(East Cape), the newest member of the BAARS Group of
Companies, had on display the complete range of BAARS Group
products, from the smallest brass gate valve to electrically
operated butterfly valves.
Two test benches were set up to illustrate the
calibration of safety valves and the testing of valves up to
100 bar. The test
rig showed the company’s capability with regard to
calibrating valve positioners, pneumatic actuators and
solenoid valves.
Also on
display was a computer where visitors were able to access the
BAARS Group Valve and Actuator Selectors.
The new range
of ITAP-Fit fittings attracted a great deal of interest.
There has
been much excitement and enthusiasm in the industrial
community with the establishment of a full BAARS Group branch
in the Eastern Cape region.
Subsequent to the show the Valvecraft (East Cape)
office has been inundated with calls and enquiries regarding
their products.
The
Valvecraft stand was presented with a Silver Award as a Valued
Exhibitor.
