Push-Fit Fittings

ITAP Italy S.p.A. was founded over 30 years ago and is now a well established manufacturer of hydraulic components, with present production output of over 20 million pieces per annum. Substantial investment has been made over the years in the production of a comprehensive range of valves and fittings, resulting in 50 fully computerised transfer production centres and 22 automatic assembly lines with testing facilities. 

The patented itap-fit ®, push-fit fittings are unique in many respects which allows them to be used over and over again, facilitating re-routing of piping and upgrading of systems. 

The fittings are user friendly with the capability of improving installation efficiencies. Environmental and human safety standards are substantially improved as no adhesives or heat sources are required for the quick connections and/or disconnections of the fittings. 
itap-fit ®, push-fit fittings are available for use with plasticized, lined, hard, semi-hard or soft copper pipes which comply to regulation EN1057, in size range 12mm x 3/8" up to 28mm x 1". 
Working pressures for plasticized pipes are permissible up to 12 bar whereas with copper piping, pressures can be extended up to 20 bar. The design of the itap-fit ®, push-fit fittings allows versatility in installation, unlike the more common fixed methods available. The fittings allow for rotation of the joints, thus overcoming problems experienced when using pipes in rolls. 
itap-fit ®, push-fit fittings present many advantages especially when used in domestic or industrial hot and cold water, heating, air conditioning, irrigation and water reticulation systems. The use of dezincified brass (DZR) maximizes the corrosion resistance of the fittings, allowing them to be buried in walls or underground.
