G.C. BAARS (PTY) LTD was founded in 1970 and
specialises in the marketing and distribution of industrial valves and allied equipment.
Valves include ball, butterfly, check, diaphragm, float, gate, globe, needle, plug,
pressure reducing, safety and relief. Materials of construction include brass, bronze,
cast iron, cast steel, forged steel, stainless steel, special alloys, titanium. Allied
equipment includes strainers, sight glasses, valve actuators and controls.
In 1991 the company was awarded the quality systems
listing SABS/ISO 9002 for its stocking and distribution activities.
In order to serve customers better
in
KwaZulu-Natal, in 1973 G.C. Baars (Pty) Ltd established VALVECRAFT (PTY) LTD with offices and stores in
Durban and in 2003 VALVECRAFT (RICHARDS BAY) (PTY) LTD in
Empangeni.
Likewise, in 1978 for the Western Cape it was VALVETECH
(CAPE) (PTY) LTD with offices and stores in Cape Town.
Also in 2003, VALVECRAFT
(EAST CAPE) (PTY) LTD began operating in Port Elizabeth to serve
customers in the Eastern Cape.
HIGHVELD INSTRUMENTATION (PTY) LTD
was established in 1985 and specialises in the protection of industrial plant and
personnel as well as the conservation of energy. As such it handles products such as
rupture disks, flame arrestors, safety valves, steam traps and boiler equipment. The
company has its own offices and stores in Germiston. |
